Die Löwenkinder haben gut gegessen, viel getrunken und trotzdem wollen sie wieder Milch trinken. Es ist zum verrückt werden. Egal, wo die Kleinen es versuchen stoßen sie auch wutentbrannte Löwinnen – „Zieh Leine“

The lion kids had a good meal, drank a lot and want nevertheless milk. It drives all crazy. Wherever the small ones try to get to the tits they bump into infuriated lionesses – „Naff off“
Wer viel spielt und frech ist muss auch mal trinken. Aber auch dabei sind die Löwenkinder eigentlich unerträglich… Immer wieder kann ich nur die Geduld der Mütter bewundern…
If you play a lot and are naughty you need occasionally a drink. But even then the lion kids are unnerving…. Over and over I really admire the great passion of the mothers…
Manchmal sind die Löwenkinder dermaßen aufgebracht, dass alle in dem Rudel wutentbrannt übereinander herfallen. Na, aus solchen Löwenkindern müssen doch mal tolle Löwen werden:-)
Sometimes the lion kids are so pissed of about each other that all in the pride are utmost infuriated and everyone fights. Well, such lions must be very successful one day:-)
„Schluss jetzt!“, schreit die Löwenmutter. „Wer in meine Zitzen beisst, kann sich die Milch sonst wo besorgen!“….. Arme Löwenmütter:-))))
„Enough now!“, screams the lion mother in pain. „Who bites into my tits should get milk anywhere else!“…. Poor lion mothers:-)))
Und ein Kudu reicht nicht einmal für die Löwenbande. Nach dem ausgiebigen Mal geht es an die Milchbar:-) Und die Milchbar flucht leiste vor sich hin und überlegt sich eine Strategie, die Plagegeister los zu werden….
And the kudu is just not enough for the lion gang. After the extensive meal the kids go to the milk bar:-) But the milk bar grumbles in disdain and ponders about how to get rid of the ruffians….
Ich bin gespannt, was einmal aus dieser 9-Köpfigen Löwenbande wird. Wenn sie schon jetzt so frech sind, dann werden sie einmal mindestens selbstbewusste Löwen…. Aber es wird im Laufe der Produktion noch besser. Zu viel will ich aber noch nicht verraten.
I’m eager to know once how this bunch of 9 lion kids will progress. As they are already now very audacious, they should become at least very self-esteemed lions… But during the production it becomes even better. I don’t want to reveal more at the moment:-)
Ein Kudu zum Frühstück – was gibt es Schöneres für ein Löwenrudel. Auch da sind die Löwenkinder ziemlich frech. Sie sehen schließlich aus wie kleine Schweinchen. Kein Problem, später müssen die Löwenmütter ja dann die ganze Sauerei wieder aufräumen:-)
A kudu for breakfast, what a great meal for a pride of lions. Even there the lion kids are quite naughty. Soon they are befouled with blood over the whole body. They might think – „no problem“. The mothers will clean up the whole mess afterwards:-)
Nur wer von Kindesbeinen an kämpft kommt als Löwe im Leben weiter. Ich habe viel Spaß hinter der Kamera. Leider kann man nicht lachen und filmen zur gleichen Zeit – zumindest wenn man professionelle Aufnahmen haben will:-)

Only the one who fights a lot right from the beginning will succeed in a life as a lion. I have great fun behind my viewfinder. Unfortunately I can’t laugh and film at the same time – at least, if I want to accomplish judder-free takes:-)
Eine wichtige Erkenntnis dieser Filmproduktion ist, dass es nahezu unmöglich ist eine Bande von 9 Löwenkindern zu erziehen…
Aber vielleicht wollt ihr das mal selbst hautnah erleben.
One decisive recognition of this film-production is that it is almost impossible to educate such a wild bunch of 9 lion kids:-))))
Große Löwenrudel wie dieses am Kwandofluss müssen sich bemühen, genug Beutetiere für die Ernährung der einzelnen Löwen zu organisieren. Das Revier ist groß und meistens bewegen sich die Löwen in Gruppen, so dass die Chancen insgesamt besser sind, dass wenigstens eine Jägergruppe etwas zur Strecke bringt…
Big prides like this at the Kwando River are always in pressure to get enough food to nourish all individuals. The territory is huge and mostly the lions move in groups to maximize the chances that at least one of these might successfully pull something down…
