Respect

Ein neues Aquarell erblickte soeben das Licht der Welt. Es ist ein Werk aus der Reihe und Schaffensperiode zum neuen Kinofilm-Projekt. Es geht um Beziehungen im Ökosystem…. Und um die Frage, ob ein Lebewesen mehr wert sein kann als ein anderes. Ich jedenfalls denke das nicht, auch wenn sich der Mensch so verhält:

A new water-colour painting was just concluded. It is a peace of artwork from the series on the way to the new cinema project we are working on. It evolves about ideas of the ecosystem… And it treats the question, if one being on this planet could be more precious than another. I personally don’t think so, even if humans behave contrary:

So Amazing

Eine gute Balance zwischen Höhentraining, Kreativität und Schaffenskraft. Ein neues Aquarell entstand und vielleicht schaut der kleine Gepard, warum da immer so ein komischer Typ den Berg hochrennt:-)

Dieses Kunstwerk wird erstmals am 25. und 26.09.2020 im Forum Paracelsus in St. Moritz ausgestellt. Hier mehr Infos.

A good balance between training in the heights, creativity and inventiveness. A new watercolour painting came in existence. Maybe the small cheetah watched this crazy guy with amazement runing up the mountains:-)

Don’t play with the Elephant

Wenn die Seele des Künstlers tief im Kratersee der Kreativität eintaucht, dann fließen die Ideen. Dieses Kunstwerk ist ein Teil des nächsten Kinofilms, thematisch wenigstens. Es erzeugt ein gewisses Kribbeln, wenn Malerie, Story und Botschaft Hand in Hand voran gehen. Ein großes Projekt setzt sich langsam in Bewegung:

If the soul of the artist dives into the crater lake of creativity, ideas seem to explode. This piece of artwork is part of the next movie, at least part of the overall idea. It generates a certain tingling if painting, story and message alligns totally as part of a natural process. Whatever – a great project starts slowly to roll:

Another watercolor painting just made it into my gallery. The constant hoping between art studio and film studio is an interesting process. I do not just get inspiration by the stories, but even more by the great personality of the meerkats. They have such an appealling approach to life:

Your Mind can make You bigger as….

Ich habe gerade im Filmstudio viel mit Erdmännern zu tun. Einfach klasse und dann kommen so viele tolle Erlebnisse in den entlegensten Gebieten Afrikas hoch. Jede Erdmann-Familie ist anders, jede erzählt ihre Gechichte anders… Und all zeigen uns, dass man mit der richtigen Einstellung im Kopf alles erreichen kann. Das gerade vollendete Aquarell ist total beeindruckens. Die Augen halten mich völlig gefangen – einfach „Mind-Blowing“….

At the moment I’m dealing a lot with meerkats in my film studio. They will become stars in the next movie. They are so outstanding and I reflect about so many thrilling encounters with them in the most remote areas in Africa. Each meerkat-family is different, each is telling a unique story… And all show us that just with the right mindset you can achieve everything! The just finished water-color painting is very impressive. I’m mesmerised ny the eyes – just mind-blowing…

Kunst / Wouldn’t you think?…

Eine wirklich spannende Zeit. Eigentlich sollte ich jetzt in der Kalahari sein. Stattdessen wühlen ich mich durch hunderte Stunden Filmmaterial. Auch nicht schlecht. Es ist unglaublich, wie viele Geschichten und Erkenntnisse in 27 Jahren im afrikanischen Busch aufgelaufen sind. Schwerpunkt ist natürlich das neue Kinoprojekt und der Löwenfilm zur Serie „Maleika erzählt“.

Mein Respekt vor den Überlebenstechniken unser tierischen Mitbewohner des Planeten. Meine Nähe zu den Tieren wirft Fragen aus, die ich am besten in der Kunst beantworten kann. Es fliesst gerade so aus mir heraus und der Kopf ist voller Inspirationen. Das Wunder Kunst, das die Realität veredelt und schonungslos bloss stellt.

Erdmännchen Wegbegleiter meiner Arbeit, die wunderbar eine Brücke zwischen Freud und Leid schlagen. Deshalb hier ein neues, gerade vollendetes Werk ohne Worte:

A really exciting time. Actually I should be now in the Kalahari. Instead I go over hundreds of hours of footage. No complaints! It is just incredible how many stories and ideas went on stock after all this 27 years amidst the African bush. My current focus is the new cinema project and the lion movie of the series „Maleika’s African Tales‘.

My respect for the survival techniques of our animal cohabitors of these planet. My closiness to the animals brings up essential questions which I can answer in art. It’s just breaking out of my mind. There are so much deep inspirations. The wonder ART, which cultivates reality and strips the truth bare.

Meerkats are companions of my work all the time. They bridge joy and grief in such an special way. So, here a new artwork which I just concluded:

Wonder & Relaxation

Ich stelle mir gerade vor, dass die Tiere uns als Attraktion im Zoo besuchen. Was würden sie denken? Na, erst einmal würden sie sich über das Phänomen ‚Angst‘ wundern und dann würden sie sich entspannen, denn es würde ihnen klar werden, dass der Planet solche Wesen bald los wird und alles gut wird. Sie wären sich sicher, dass sich die Natur durchsetzt…

I jus try to conceive that animals visit us in a zoo and we are the attraction. What would they think? Well, first they would really wonder about the phenomenon ‚Fear‘. Soon after they would relax, as they would know that this planet will be very soon rid of such beings. And they could be sure that nature prevails….

The real Queen – Maleika

Es ist derzeit eine wirklich spannende Schaffensperiode. Nicht einfach, denn der Busch fehlt mir, und eigentlich sollte ich jetzt unter den Katzen in der Kalahari sein. Aber die Arbeit im Filmstudio und im Atelier im Wechsel ist sehr spannend. Und in der Malerei sind mir die Seelen meiner Liebsten ganz nah:
